Control what you can control. Outcomes will take care of themselves. Whatever the outcome, you'll Win...

Yes I do believe we need to have a goal(s). Goals give us a direction, a purpose, a "north star" to shoot for. They can be inspiring and challenge us to greatness...

While that's all true. We can't actually control whether they happen or not. That's up to factors outside our control.

Will better marketing bring more leads? May be.Will better sales scripts improve conversion? May be.Will a better processes improve delivery? May be.

All we can control in reality is our actions. And most of us don't stick at them for long enough.

Think "Problem - Theory - Actions - Metrics"

Problem: What are we trying to solveTheory: If we do these activities we should see improvementActions: Do the activitiesMetrics: Measure whether you're seeing improvement

Stickability* - Master this, and you win either way :)

At the end of a period (say a quarter) the main question is, "Did we do the actions?" Did we stick to what we committed to?

If that is yes, and we saw improvement, then we continue with those actions and continuously refine them. If we didn't see improvement, then we either agree to change the actions or follow them for longer (the latter, in general, I would say is more likely).

Here's the great news though, whatever the outcome in that period, you win!! With consistent action you'll discover what works or what doesn't and both are great results because it gets you further down the road to success.

Here's to your stickability!!

* Yes, stickability is really a word
