It Ain't what you Do. (It's the way that you do it).

Most businesses have competition. I'm guessing yours does too. Today's supply chain for everything we commonly consume is so good, that there is an abundance of choice for everything we consume, both physical goods and services.

Product to Experience - Stop being so normal !

The four "Ps" of marketing: Product, Place, Price, and Promotion served us well for decades but now they need updating.

With so much competition the actual product you sell is likely to be very similar to someone else's, but Product has now evolved into Experience.

If you can provide a different experience with your products you can stand out in the "sea of sameness" that often confuses potential clients and stops them moving forward.

Start with one experience TODAY

Look at all the touch points you have with a client - and there are truly lots of these: more we look the more we find: E.g.

  • Answering an enquiry on the phone or by email

  • Sending an invoice/receipt

  • Installing/implementing/delivering the product or service

  • ...and loads more

Take one of these today - I recommend choosing something small to start with - and make it less "normal". Checkout the video for some more examples and my favourite of all.

With so much competition for your customers from local regional and, in many cases, international sources, we can't afford to do things the way we've done them in the past.

In hundreds of interactions it's really not what you do...it's the way that you do it that will help you stand out and win more often.
